Memberships
Will Detmer Park's Organic Community Garden consists of GROUND plots, RAISED BED plots, and Group/Organization rental plots.
GROUND PLOTS are 10 feet x 10 feet and include year-round and seasonal offerings. Seasonal plots start in late April and end in early November (dates are dependent on weather and will be communicated to renter via email).
RAISED BEDS are 4 feet x 8 feet and can be either seasonal or year-round. Raised bed rentals are $25. Note: if choosing year-round, please be aware that park staff must flush out water spigots (located in raised beds) in order to turn off the water in late Oct./early Nov. Flushing of water pipes may cause damage to plants.
Renters are responsible for maintaining their garden plot and plot boundaries throughout the rental season. All responsibilities are listed in the "Rental Agreement" waiver.
Community Garden rentals include access to: communal tools; water spigots; garden programming; locked garden area; compost pile; wood chips; produce washing station; and more!
